Today's KDD: Innocent Monster by Reed Farrel Coleman, reduced 70% from yesterday's price of $6.71. Today only, $1.99
In the sixth book of this well regarded series, per the product description, "former cop and PI Moe Prager finds himself taking a break from his successful New York City wine business to help his estranged daughter search for a missing artist."
Amazon reviewer Tai Chi, who gave the book four stars, says:
I would give Innocent Monster 4 1/2 stars if it were an option. The writing is excellent. The protagonist Moe is a great character. In the best tradition of hardboiled fiction, Moe is worldly and brings some wisdom to the party. The minor characters are well-executed, the social criticism is appropriate, and the victim who we don't really meet is very sympathetic. It's definitely worth reading.
The seventh novel, Hurt Machine, is also available on Kindle. Unfortunately, the earlier books in the series do not appear to be available on Kindle. As I have reader's OCD and must read series in order, I think I'll have to pick this one up and hold it while I find the earlier books to read.
