Before returning to his lifelong passion for storytelling, Saul Tanpepper was a molecular geneticist and biotech entrepreneur. Consequently, many of his works incorporate elements of science fact and technology, with particular emphasis on human disease mechanisms and genetic engineering.
Born in Upstate New York, Saul has lived and worked in Texas, Washington DC, Massachusetts and Germany. He settled down in the San Francisco Bay Area where he now writes speculative fiction full time and is co-founder of a small boutique publishing house, Brinestone Press.
He has two collections of short stories (Insomnia: Paranormal Tales, Science Fiction & Horror and Undead & Other Horrors) and is the creator of the highly acclaimed urban dystopian thriller series GAMELAND.
He is also co-author on a how-to guide for new authors and book bloggers, Book Review Blogging. He haunts many literary sites throughout the web, but you can most easily find him at http://www.tanpepperwrites.com, or on Facebook (http://facebook.com/saul.tanpepper) or on Twitter (http://twitter.com/SaulTanpepper).

TY for the feature, kboards! So pleased to share the spotlight today with fellow specfic writer and author of the hugely successful Wool series, Hugh Howey!
