"Stone and Silt" - new historical mystery, on sale today

New release, and on sale today: "Stone and Silt", a historical mystery based in 1860s British Columbia. The book is a cozy read for young adults as well as older readers.

The story follows Nikaia, a 16-year-old half-native girl, who accidentally causes her father to be a murder suspect. She races to clear her father's name, pursuing clues and getting unexpected help from her sister and a Chinese neighbor boy. But the colonial law is closing in, as is the vengeful brother of the murdered man.

Part mystery, part coming-of-age story, Stone and Silt depicts the struggles of a simple pioneer family in peril amidst the bustling backdrop of the liveliest settlement in goldrush-era British Columbia.

Stone and Silt is available in paperback and e-book at the links below. Today, it's $2 off for the e-book ($2.99) - and Amazon is offering the paperback at a discount price of $8.99.
