She develops her characters, especially Emelie, the main character in a fascinating way, taking the reader along an intriguing concept for a story. Night Aberrations, was a thoroughly enjoyable read. It kept me engaged, remained interesting, was fun and sexy while also having elements of darkness to it." -- Bex 'N' Books

Seriously Mum, What's an Alpaca?, by Alan Parks. (Still 0.99?)

"Courageous adventure! Alan has done a nice job of sharing their lives without making it overly romantic, or desperate. His honesty in showing the trials as well as the joys keeps the reader from believing they could just pick up and make the same move. I enjoyed the neighbors and their willingness to step in and help. Even though Alan and Lorna arrived with very little Spanish language, the neighbors still accepted them, and having that connection proved crucial to surviving. The paragraphs at the end of chapters that were written from the perspective of the various animals was also a clever touch that truly added to the story. All in all a great read especially for anyone who has ever thought of stepping off of the tread mill of life and into a simpler time. I look forward to the sequel." -- Amazon reviewer

A MUST READ BOOK FOR ALL ANIMAL LOVERS FIVE STARS - "This was an enchanting read. I regularly laughed out loud and as an animal owner, so many of the scenarios were terribly familiar. I would recommend this book to anyone (and I have been) and in particular animal lovers." - Amazon Review

'Seriously Mum, What's an Alpaca'' is the frank and charming story of a brave couple who risk everything to move to Spain to breed alpacas. Their intention is to make a living, but first they must negotiate their way through the Spanish property market, local characters, rogue builders and the worst weather AndalucĂa has seen for 100 years.

In this memoir with a difference, you can even hear what some of the animals have to say about their new home.

Alan and Lorna experience the joy, but also the heartbreak of alpaca breeding, picking up an assortment of stray animals on the way.

'Seriously Mum, What's an Alpaca'' may be full of glorious highs and monumental lows, but it is essentially a story of endeavour and spirit, living each day as though it may be the last.

Stone and Silt, by Harvey Chute. (Still 4.99?)

"Nikaia, a 16 year-old girl, is on a mission to save her family, and attempt to clear her father's name from a serious crime. She ends up finding help in some unlikeliest of places as a result. The story becomes an instant page-turner with action, mystery, some heart-wrenching moments, and even a bit of love. ... 'Stone & Silt' reads a lot like a cozy mystery, and the author does a great job in dropping a few hints here and there which builds up for the end as you try to guess 'whodunit'." -- Amazon reviewer
