Some loss comes by death, some by distance, some by a distant heart..... but will she find herself and what she loves most? Just when resolution seems eminent, a cliffhanger... The Hidden Village (The World Next Door), by Greg Krehbiel. (Still free?)

This Sci-Fi adventure is free today!

"This is quite a creative book, where the author develops a whole new world of games and fighting clans that take place inside our own regular world (more specifically, around Washington, D.C.). It is very well written and easy to read, goes smoothly in one single seat and grabs your attention from the beginning. Plot is simple: a father receives a phone call and discovers that his son is missing for weeks. While searching for his son, he finds a scaring new world and the more he digs into it, the more dangerous it becomes, both in his real and fictional worlds. I found the end surprising and we just stay wondering if something like the described situation cannot be real... Will there be a sequel? This is an excellent entertainment reading that I recommend to the permanent library of any science-fiction lover. It took me around 3 hours to read the whole book." -- Roberto Mattos, Amazon Vine Voice

Geof Franklin gets the late-night phone call every parent dreads and discovers that his son has been missing for weeks. As he relentlessly searches for his only son, he gets pulled into the orbit of a cult-like sub-culture of clans that live by their own rules and think nothing of killing anyone who stands in their way. To have any hope of reaching his son he has to keep digging, but he's digging himself into more and more trouble -- with the mysterious clans, and with the law.

This exciting sci-fi adventure story is set in and around Washington, D.C.

From the popular Lei Crime series, Detective Lei Texeira chases down clues and romance in the island of Kauai in Torch Ginger - free today!

There is something especially nerve-racking about being on a case with a cop who may become incapacitated by a panic attack at any time! A couple of intriguing new characters are introduced in the latest novel, and we're looking forward to getting to know those better in future books of the series. Angelfire (Dark Angel #1), by Hanna Peach. (Still free?)

This highly-rated fantasy is praised for its rich cast of characters and compelling storyline. Free today!

"Hanna Peach's strong and capable heroine hides an emotional vulnerability that is easily related to. The demons wear human faces and `the good and righteous' are corrupt and deceptive in this world of hidden societies and slimy bad guys. Her writing style is so easy to read that you'll forget your troubles and lose track of the time! Highly recommended! Can't wait for the sequel!" -- Amazon reviewer

An army of angels walk among us. They have kept us safe and ignorant, so far.

Earthbound for centuries and ruled by the Elders, they have established hidden cities, a society and The Code: obey your Elders, kill all demons, eliminate Rogue-angels, protect the mortals, remain hidden. Their warriors are the ungifted earthborn angels armed with blades and the 'borrowed magics' of distilled angel-blood tattoos.

Alyxandria is a young warrior with a fondness for customized knives and illegal night-races. If only she could overcome the taint of her parents who abandoned her to become Rogues.

When Alyx saves Israel, a gifted mortal with a past, she is forbidden to see him again. But she can't help herself, drawn to him through their Guardian-bond, an ancient and long-forgotten bond; if he dies, she dies.

An encounter with a handsome Rogue leaves Alyx questioning all she has been taught to believe. Alyx begins to dig into the Elders' secrets. Two thousand years of secrets that begin with the death of the Archangel Raphael. She is not prepared when she uncovers an Elder's dark plan.

Somewhere on earth is a key to unlock hell. Somewhere on earth are pieces of an amulet that controls Lucifer and his army. Somehow Israel is the link and now both sides are after him. Who can Alyx trust when Good and Evil is no longer clear?

The war for earth begins.
