Here is today's selection of bargain Kindle books!

Winter Interlude (California Series), by Sandy Loyd. (Still 0.99?)

Price temporarily reduced to 99 cents!

"Winter Interlude is a great story with lots of unexpected twists - and the scenery descriptions will take you straight to the Tahoe ski slopes! Sandy Loyd has a knack for making Kate and Paul come alive on the pages: two good people who've put heart and soul into their relationships, but must now look deep into their own hearts in order to find their way to true love. This book is a winner!" -- Amazon reviewer

Do you remember your mother telling you when you were little that you’d never meet Mr. Right if you were spending all your time and energy with Mr. Wrong? And what about the book out a few years ago that created such a hoopla with the single crowd – He’s Just Not That Into You? The two main characters in Winter Interlude either didn’t heed their mother’s advice or haven’t read the book. Now, add into the plot that the two in question are enemies who regularly run into each other, given their current relationships. Paul Morrison, a hunky, blond, financial planner, has been putting time and energy into winning the heart of Kate Winter’s best friend for almost as long as Kate, a strong willed antiques dealer, has been dating James Morrison, Paul’s brother. The sparks start to fly when the two get stuck together for a three-hour drive to the mountains and years of misconceptions about each other are slowly being wiped out. It is in the confines of the BMW that the two begin their journey, taking them from being mortal enemies to lovers.
Winter Interlude tells the story of their adventure – of how they finally find love. Kate and Paul’s story is the first one in a series of four friends caught in a time warp. They can’t move on because they are stuck on their idea of their perfect dreams. But sometimes life works in mysterious ways and they are all forced by circumstances to change.

Firehurler (Twinborn Trilogy), by J.S. Morin. (Still 0.99?)

"This is a great book that I can't recommend enough. The whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking about it all day, mulling things over in my head. You know it's a great book when you're still thinking about is 12 hours after the last time you picked it up. This is classic fantasy, with very approachable characters that you can't help but root for. There's a lot about the world that neither you nor the characters know about in the beginning, and that keeps you guessing and reading just one more chapter, just one more chapter... The world is very well thought out, with history and detail and little quirks you don't notice until you reread the book. But JS Morin's writing style won't bore you with pages long descriptions of the color of the flowers in the field, either. It does a great job of describing enough so you are immersed in the world without describing too much such that you get bogged down in the details." -- Amazon reviewer

Named one of the “Best Indie Fantasy Books Worth a Read” on Goodreads If you love the classic epic fantasy greats, but hunger for a refreshing concept, the Twinborn Trilogy delivers!

One world of magic. One world of reason. Two lives intertwined in connection mistaken for a dream.

When Brannis leads his battalion into the forest on a routine scouting mission, they are overwhelmed by a goblin force. As the two discover the reality of their connection, their comfortable lives begin to unravel. Now they have to share knowledge between worlds to stay a step ahead of the mysteries piling up. Who is behind the unprovoked goblin attacks' How will a world dominated by reason react to the presence of magic? Who is the quiet stranger in the woods who refuses to give his name? And who might be playing a deadly game, with pawns in both worlds?

A Young Mother's Death: A Letter to My Daughter, by LM Gautreaux. (Still 2.99?)

"This letter brought about many emotions in me. As a parent and as a daughter. There are certain topics I didn't know how to put into words when discussing with my daughter, the author said so many things that were brutally honest but with a sincerity that only can come from a Mother. There were parts of her letter that I could hear my own Mother saying to me, but I was a know it all! What I wouldn't give to have those moments back. This illness has hindered so much of her life, yet she takes advantage of her time to makes sure her spirit lives on. The author has given her daughter and husband an everlasting gift that shows the true selflessness that only a parent can show. Truly an inspiring read." -- Amazon reviewer

What does a mother do when death comes too early? What does a mother do when she knows she may lose her life at the worst possible moment, right as her daughter enters high school?

I am one of those mothers, and I chose to write my daughter a letter. I share my favorite memories with her and then move on to the milestones in her life I may miss. I say the things I would've said about boys, high school, making mistakes, marriage, and other important events I may not be there for.

We still have hope that I will survive - we see the doctors at the Mayo Clinic on October 15, 2013. As I wrote my letter, I realized it could be a resource for another dying parent or a bereft child.

I hope my husband never has to give this letter to my daughter, but it will be there if I die. That's the only thing this mother could think to do.

This is a short memoir and is slightly over 10,000 words.

The Seventeenth Floor, by Dmytro Bondarenko. (Still 0.99?)

"At some point, all men in committed relationship begin to wonder about what it would be like to go back to being a single man. Kostya is an average man with a wife and a new child going through this rather typical situation and handling it in a very unusual and fascinating way. A few bad decisions lead him down a path that he's not so sure he wants to go down. Kostya is an amazingly well written character. At every step he remains as human as the reader. That's a common thread among most of the characters in the novel as well. The author has a very good sense of realism in character development. Throughout this story, you really get to care for the characters as they develop. This ultimately leads to an ending that is as emotional as any I've ever read." -- Amazon reviewer

The Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes Top 100 Bestselling trilogy

This is the complete boxed set collection of the Nice Girl to Love trilogy, which contains all three Nice Girl bestsellers: Resisting the Bad Boy (Book One), Falling for the Good Guy (Book Two), and Choosing the Right Man (Book Three).

Abby Bartlett is the quintessential nice girl. Between teaching, volunteering, completing her PhD, and helping her best friend raise his daughter, Abby never gets the chance to be anything but nice. That is, until the all-wrong-for-her man she's only ever known from afar starts daring her to simply take that chance for herself. His sage advice? Try something wild and fast. Preferably him.

An unbridled, hotshot attorney with a not-so-little black book, Connor Sullivan has earned himself quite the bad boy reputation. But in his defense, he's a very conscientious one. He knows far too well that sometimes in life, love isn't enough...or worse, not even a factor at all. To avoid that misery--and repel the drama--Connor has a firm 'nothing over a month' rule. Who knew a nice girl would be the one to make him want to break all his rules?

Abby is well aware that everyone thinks she's in love with her best friend Brian. He is, after all, the type of man a nice girl should be with--the polar opposite of the bad boy--the kind of guy who didn't let his wife's decade-long illness stop him from showering her with a lifetime of love every second until her dying day. But everyone's wrong; she couldn't possibly be in love with him. Because she's never once allowed herself that option.

It's taken a while but Brian has finally come to terms with surviving the woman he spent half his life loving, a third of it losing. Truth is though, he wouldn't have 'survived' any of it really had it not been for Abby--sweet, incredible Abby--the woman he's never once had to picture his life without, never realized he couldn't truly live without. Until now. Now that he's finally able to love her the way she deserves, the way he knows she wants to be his brother. Who's giving him exactly one chance to speak now or forever hold his peace.

And now it's up to Abby to decide between the bad boy wanting to start a life with her and the good guy fighting for the life they've already built.
