"Unsung Giant is a vivid and exciting page-turner that really brought characters of Norse mythology to life.
Characters are strong (what else could we expect from godly creatures), very well developed and alive and I was able to imagine them and relate to them effortlessly. I love when book is written in a way that moves me and stays with me after I read it and Jennifer Pendon wrote that kind of novel." -- Amazon reviewer

"The plot sounds a little like Demolition Man, but this book takes it to another level. It gets inside the mind of a soldier and his desire to save man kind. I agree it does stall in a few places, but still well worth the read.
A strong start from the author who draws on his experience in the military. Its good to see former soldiers using their experience to expand the minds of future generations. Good work." -- Amazon reviewer

Intentional Stranger, by J.J. Oxendine. (Still 0.99?)
In this highly-rated thriller novella, Grace discovers surprising - and dangerous - secrets about her ex-husband.
"JJ Oxendine has cranked out a very well thought out suspense novella in Intentional Stranger. I found this to be a page-turner, I read it in 1 day. The story flowed well and kept me coming back for more. It had a few super minor editing problems but they did not distract from the story. I eagerly await a sequel to see what comes of Grace's pilgrimage and discovery. Great modern imagery ("Eyes dark as Espresso", comes to mind.) The pace is solid and the story is interesting." -- Amazon reviewer

Shadow of Time, by Jen Minkman. (Still 1.49?)
A native American paranormal romance from Dutch author Jen Minkman. In the words of one reader, this is a book that "makes you a better person" for having read it.
"I enjoyed how the author used real Navajo words and customs. Frankly, I thought the author must have lived in the location of this book and personally knew about this culture, so I was floored when I found out she had never been in the United States. That was awesome research! And she also converted the book from Dutch into English (and American English at that!). Very admirable.
I loved the storyline that included Hannah, Josh (the hot Native American), and Hannah's brother Ben. There were aspects of reincarnation, animal spirit guides, a wise medicine man, and skinwalkers (think of evil ghosts that can change into people or animals) that drew me in and had me hooked. There was romance, humor, horror, and history all wrapped in this book that made it a joy to read." -- Amazon reviewer
401 pages, with a 4.2-star rating from 24 reviews.
Emancipating Alice, by Ada Winder. (Still 3.99?)
The author describes this book as more "hen-lit" than "chick-lit," with its middle-aged protagonist. The family saga is currently a quarter-finalist contender for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award!
"This novel is simply wonderful. At times it is disturbing, always refreshing and at the very heart of this book is the raw emotion of a woman who never got the chance to experience the life she felt she deserved. Fiction can be many things, and every once in a while, can take you on a journey to a place where you forget that you are reading fiction at all." -- Amazon reviewer
