Don't Say A Word, by Barbara Freethy. (Still 0.99?)

"Terrific story! Don't Say A Word is one of the best books I've read all year. It had just the right amount of romance and suspense. Sometimes in romantic suspense, I feel like the mystery takes over, but there was a nice balance in this book. I loved Julia and Alex. They were a great couple with lots of chemistry. The mystery kept me guessing and kept me turning the pages." -- Amazon reviewer

From #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Barbara Freethy come an award winning tale of romance and suspense. Fans of Carla Neggars, Karen Robards, and Nora Roberts will enjoy this intricately suspenseful story that begins with the question -- what if you looked exactly like someone in a famous photograph?

Everything she's been told about her past is a lie ...

Julie De Marco is planning a perfect San Francisco wedding when she comes face-to-face with a famous photograph, the startling inage of a little girl behind the iron gate of a foreign orphanage -- a girl who looks exactly like her. But Julia isn't an orphan. She isn't adopted. And she's never been out of the country. She knows who she is -- or does she?

Haunted by uncertainty, Julia sets off on a dangerous search for her true identity -- her only clues a swan necklace and an old Russian doll, her only ally daring, sexy photographer Alex Manning. Suddenly nothing is as it seems. The people Julia loved and trusted become suspicious strangers. The relationships she believed in -- with her mother, her sister, and her fiance -- are shaken by new revelations. The only person she can trust is Alex, but he has secrets of his own. Each step brings her closer to a mysterious past that began a world away -- a past that still has the power to threaten her life ... and change her future forever.

The Last of the Fighting Farrells, by Van Holt. (Still 0.99?)

"It has been a long time since I have read a good old fashioned Western. You know the kind, where the bad guys are really bad and the good guys are...well, really bad too! This book was just fun. The story line was classic, yet told in such a way that for awhile you are unsure as to who the last of the Fighting Farrells was going to be. The emotional conflicts are handled in true Western style, as almost an aside, and yet woven artfully into the story. I am recommending Van Holt to all of my Western loving friends." -- Amazon reviewer

The Haggan brothers were all cocky, mean bastards. They felt they were above the law and that anyone who got in their way or crossed them, would pay.
They could not even remember when they had not been feuding with the Farrells, only that their Pa had killed old Matt Farrell over some cattle their Pa had rustled from him.
There had been an uneasy truce for many years, but the Haggan boys were restless and wanted to get things going again.
They ambushed Luke’s oldest brother, Matt and then killed the other three, Johnny, Mark and young Ben.
But they made their biggest mistake when they failed to kill the LAST OF THE FIGHTING FARRELLS.

Castle Juliet, by Brandon Berntson. (Still 0.99?)

Save $3 on this Kindle Countdown Deal!

"'Castle Juliet' might just as well have been called 'Your Guide to Childhood.' If you've forgotten what it was like, this charming novel will help you recall all the beauty, pain, challenges and joys of the growing-up years and the important, if unlikely bonds that can sustain us over a lifetime. In the magical town of Storyville time is malleable. Tigers and aliens co-exist alongside clockmakers and cowgirls. Here, best friends Jack and Alice explore a world of pink lasers, snowflakes, wizards and a pony named Christmas. Yet they also struggle with the realities of school, bullying and the absence of a parent. The lure of a mystery entwines the story. It is the ultimate mystery--the meaning of life. In moments of intense presence, Alice and Jack find pathways to deeper wisdom and understanding. The wonders of their imaginary world give way to the even more profound wonders of our existence. "Do you think we'll always be friends?" says Alice. Oh yes, they will. Because every boy needs his Alice, his true companion, and every girl needs her Jacky-boy--her champion--to surprise her, to build her castles and to help her see the magic." -- Amazon reviewer

Welcome to Storyville, where time stops completely, where you never grow old, and where magic lasts forever....

Alice and Jacky-boy are the best of friends. For a year they embark on fantastic adventures, most born from Jack's relentless imagination. Though as each season draws to a close, another opens with its own special mystery, revealing timeless, unexpected events even Jack and Alice could have never imagined.

Castle Juliet is a timeless tale for all ages, for girls and boys, men and women, the young and the old. It is a story for the child in all of us who refuses to grow up. It will leave you mystified and enchanted, but most importantly, it will leave you wanting more.

Learning To Play The Guitar - An Absolute Beginner's Guide, by Anthony Pell. (Still 2.99?)

Save $4 on this Kindle Countdown Deal!

"I am very happy with the book and Anthony Pell's teaching style. I have been playing guitar for a little more than a year, and I still have a lot to learn. I've used the Internet and other books to get the basics, but there were still some things I was confused about. This book is organized well, and the lessons are easy to understand. Included are MP3 sound clips along with video clips. Sometimes when learning something complicated like guitar, it's important to study different teachers because a certain teaching style might be more conducive to your learning style. This one works well for me because of the word clarity combined with the examples. There are several times in the book when Pell explains something and then states that such and such is more advanced and not part of the beginner's guide. I am hopeful that this gifted teacher will put out a second book for those of us who successfully made it through the Absolute Beginner's Guide." -- Amazon reviewer
