The Wicked Wager ( A Regency Murder Mystery & Romance ), by Anya Wylde. (Still free?)
"I'm a fan of Jane Austen. I'm also a huge fan of mysteries, so when I see stories that embody the two I jump over the moon. Luckily for me I recently was approached to read The Wicked Wager, which is a fabulous example of when the regency period and murder mysteries collide! I really enjoyed the main characters in this mystery: Richard and Emma. There is the feeling of intense romantic chemistry between them, and they set the scene perfectly. As the story unfolds I got caught up in the mystery and with each twist and turn was trying to guess who did it! With many toe curling moments and lots of mystery this was a perfect read for me. I can't wait to read more books from this fantastic author." -- Amazon Reviewer
244 pages, with a 3.5-star rating from 158 reviews.
Rescue Me, Maybe, by Jackie Bouchard. (Still 3.99?)
"Jane, the main character, is almost painfully passive and introverted; I loved seeing her grow in this book. I love that there wasn't a fairy tale ending. It's very real on so many levels. And the humor - I can hear the character in my head when I read. Her struggles with her mother-in-law make me wince and laugh. I fell head over heels in love with her father-in-law. And her dog, Maybe. Laughing the entire time. Y'all, this reads more like a first novel, but one well done. It comes across as personal, making the characters very three dimensional, relate-able. Worth your time and money." -- Amazon Reviewer

A Sea Dog's Tale: The True Story of a Small Dog on a Big Ocean, by Peter Muilenburg. (Still 1.99?)
"I read it in record time as I just wanted to keep seeing what happened. I will warn you, it is about the dogs whole life start to finish. But what a wonderful life he lived! And I loved the way the story was told, often reflecting back on other times. If you love sailing and love dogs, then I'd highly recommend it." -- Amazon Reviewer
