Thursday at Noon: a Mideast Political Thriller, by William F. Brown

"Bond Meets Indy Jones! The settings were real and the characters believable -- esp. the cynically incompetent officials above Thompson. I was left wondering, actually, if this was based on some actual incident or similar situation. I'd buy more books by this author." -- Amazon Review

"A non-stop energizing plot! Thursday at Noon is a thrilling, adrenaline rush novel by terrific author. I read and reviewed his earlier novel, Amongst My Enemies, and thought it was spectacular. He pens a thrilling espionage adventure that will capture the reader from page one. I could see the events unfold like you would in a movie, with great character depiction, vivid backgrounds and a non-stop energizing plot." -- Minding Spot Book Reviews

A Mideast political thriller set in Cairo in 1962. Richard Thomson was already having a very bad day when someone left a corpse lying on the rear steps of his hotel. Its head had been lopped off like a ripe melon and had been posed so it could look back down at its own body. A message? No doubt about it. Thomson is a burned-out CIA Agent and the body belongs to Mahmoud Yussuf, a fat petty thief and some-time spy who is selling photographs of a long-abandoned RAF base in the Egyptian desert. What the photos have to do with a dead Israeli Mossad agent, Nazi rocket scientists, the fanatical Moslem Brotherhood, and two missing Egyptian tank regiments could start the next Arab-Israeli War or stop it. Alone and on the run, no one believes Thomson's story -- not the CIA, the US Ambassador, and most assuredly not Captain Hassan Saleh, Chief of the Homicide Bureau of the Cairo Police, who wants to hang Thomson for murder. Like Night of the Generals, this is a murder mystery wrapped inside a CIA spy thriller and historic fiction. The slums of Cairo are a tinder box of discontent and the first faint whiffs of a military coup against the shaky, new government of Abdel Gamal Nasser are in the air. Tick Toc, Tick Toc! In this CIA action adventure and suspense thriller, if he doesn’t solve the mystery, something is about to blow up in Thomson's face at Noon on Thursday.

The Wolf's Moon, by Patrick Jones. (Still free?)

"Hold on to your hat! Full of suspense, adventure and a touch of romance, this is a great read that takes you into a supernatural experience and doesn't let you go until the last page. I enjoyed the author's writing style right along with the story.I felt the characters were believable as they face something none of us would care to." -- Amazon reviewer

In “The Wolf’s Moon,” author Patrick Jones creates a spellbinding tale of an ancient animal that haunts the foothill towns of Missouri’s Ozark Mountains. An unknown group of scientists has genetically engineered a Dire Wolf into the present day. Allegedly extinct, the ferocious beast preys upon the innocent people of Maple Hills.

To hunt and kill the beast, the town folk will have to rely on the tracking feats of Mark Lansdowne. He is a reluctant hero, still mourning the loss of his wife to illness. Relying on his rescue dogs and indefatigable hunting skills, Mark will set out on foot in search of the mysterious beast. Yet the hunter’s personal history and romantic entanglements will come back to haunt him during his search for the vicious animal.

Accompanying him on the hunt is his pal Warren Skruggs, who knew Mark when he was known as Michael Linden, a chapter of his history that he prefer be kept to the past. Adding to the intrigue are two beautiful, intelligent women who aid the hunter in his quest. Their looks and smarts would make the Bond Girls envious but Mark is still a grieving widower, unsure of how to move forward.

With its mixture of high-stakes hunting and personal and romantic intrigue, “The Wolf’s Moon” is a page-turner that will keep the reader captivated with its unexpected story twists. The thriller suspense novel is a real story grounded in the life and folkways of the Ozark Mountains not just another unbelievable werewolf story grafted onto the romance of the South.

“The Wolf’s Moon,” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.

Treat with Caution (Treats to Tempt You Book 1), by Serenity Woods. (Still free?)

"I loved this book. It was a sweet love story with a little mystery woven in. The excellent editing impressed me. The author did a great job describing the characters as well as the setting. I could have used a glossary to explain some of the New Zealand terms, but it read fine without explanation. It was important to me that the book was a stand alone story with a real ending, although the epilogue did entice the reader to get the next book in the series." -- Amazon reviewer

Treats to Tempt You, Book 1.

An enemies-to-lovers fun and sexy romance.

Tasha Wilde has spotted the perfect site for the Treats to Tempt You confectionery shop she’s planning to run with her best friend, Maisey. It’s the ideal size and location, right on the waterfront in Doubtless Bay, New Zealand. The only fly in the melted chocolate is Maisey’s brother, Kole. He wants the shop for his photography business, and he’s about to sign the lease.

Tasha and Kole Graham have trod the wafer-thin line between friends and enemies since they were teenagers. Privately, she acknowledges Kole has grown up into a fine figure of a man. Okay, to be honest, he’s so sexy he often dismantles the speech center of her brain. But he’s still the most irritating guy on Earth.

Kole tries to think of Tasha as just his sister’s best friend, but it’s getting harder and harder. Literally. And he’s having trouble hiding it. So when their friends suggest a bet with the shop as the prize, and it means he can get his hands on Tasha, he’s quick to agree. The Shakespearean-style scheme? To get the other person to fall in love with them. In eight days.

Both are confident their attraction is only physical. Both are going to get into trouble. But who will win the bet on Midsummer night?

Save $2 today with this Kindle Countdown Deal!

"A great novel for kick-back time on the weekend. It’s fun, flirty and riddled with really nice people. We get the story through the eyes of Liz and she generally is seeing the best is people so while Bunni is a bit of a jerk, Liz tries to understand her disappointment in losing out on a job to Liz and not wanting anyone working on her boyfriend but herself. While Torrunn is a bit of a douchebag but he does good for the community and while there’s an indication that he doesn’t treat his girlfriends in a serious nature, he’s generally a good guy and the platonic byplay may be flirt but its friendly without artifice. “Flirting with Fire” is an easy, fun and sweet read about people that the reader really wants to win." -- Amazon reviewer

Look, touch, but don’t fall in love.

Massage therapist Liz Williams lives by one rule: never date a client. A rule she’s never had trouble following until she lays hands on fireman playboy Torrunn MacKay.
