Archangel Down: Archangel Project. Book One, by C. Gockel. (Still 0.99?)
"As usual author C. Gockel has managed to create an alternative reality without losing the ability to draw readers into the vital humanistic connection so many other SciFi authors lose in their blind rush to show technical savvy. All our identifying emotional characteristics, anger, fear, self-doubt, love, despair, and humor are on display as the colonists of a new world a forced to realize they are not alone in the Universe after all. Balancing on Blue - Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail, by Keith Foskett. (Still 1.95?)
"Okay, I read the book in one day! I would recommend this latest book to anyone wanting to hike, the AT or any trail. While certainly descriptive, Balancing the Blue seems more an emotional realization for the author, than a guide book. That's perfectly ok. I can appreciate this, the honesty and outright candid observations, this is what being face to face with nature is all about...connection. I enjoyed the book immensely, and was actually moved to tears while reading the story of the Fox. I too feel these things about existing zoos and animal theme parks. Another job well done." -- Amazon Reviewer

Dying by the Hour (Dying for a Living Book 2), by Kory M. Shrum. (Still 2.99?)
"I don't even know how to start my review because a lot of what I want to talk about would spoil the book! Maybe I should just stick to the fact that DYING FOR A LIVING was a brilliant book and this is a fantastic follow up? The writing is just as good as the first book: it's well told, well built, and flows nicely. I normally don't like narratives that switch points of view because it can get confusing, but Kory M Shrum does it right and it flows naturally. Shrum also knows how to make those characters believable." -- Amazon Reviewer

Approaching Night: Book I of Seluna (YA Paranormal Romance) (Seluna (New Greek Myths and Ancient Pantheons) 1), by Ilana Waters. (Still free?)
"This was a fun read! It's set in a magical 19th century universe in a spooky asylum run by a terrifying doctor and his equally evil righthand-lady Nurse Cutter. Despite the dark setting, this book is, at its heart, about a teenage girl trying to find her place in the world and doing her best to help her friends along the way. And for those of you who know & love the story of Endymion, you're in for a treat!
